Samsung Galaxy A27 Now in Pakistan with SD 6 Gen 3, Notchless AMOLED, and 50MP Camera

Samsung Galaxy A27 was actually released quite late this year, so it makes sense that it also came to Pakistan a bit late. This newcomer has reached our country now, and there’s an official product page on Samsung’s local site with all the details. By the way, 8/256GB is the only option that came here, so it’s pretty expensive.

Under normal circumstances, the phone from this category would’ve flown under the radar, but not this time. We want to stress its big display upgrade in 2026. We have waited long to say these words. The ugly notch is gone. Galaxy A27 actually has a pretty small punch hole on the front now.

They made the bezels smaller, and the bottom chin is almost uniform with the rest of the sides on this 6.7” AMOLED. This is still very much a mid-quality FHD+ display, though. The Samsung new A model has been given the same 120Hz refresh rate. Gorilla Glass Victus+ is the screen guard here.

This newcomer actually ended up with a Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 (4 nm). This isn’t really the newest, but the Galaxy A36 used that very same chip last year, so that’s the level of performance you’ll get out of A27. This 2.4 GHz platform is tied with 8GB RAM, so you have headroom for plenty of background tasks.

They’ve only changed the selfie camera to 12MP (vs. 13MP on A26). Other than that, the optics are still 50MP main OIS, next to a 5MP ultrawide. The third and least used camera is the 2MP macro. We do admire the new look of this phone, but there’s one big trade-off here.

The IP rating took a hit. We saw IP67 on the A26, which basically made that phone waterproof. But now the A27 is only splashproof with an IP64 rating. A handset at this price should definitely have something better.

Nothing was changed on the battery. It’s still a 5000mAh cell wired to a 25W power delivery kit. They’ve kept the phone locked to 5GHz dual-band WiFi, and there’s only a side fingerprint reader here. Only a mono speaker is installed on this newcomer. Galaxy A27 (8/1256GB) is quite pricey in Pakistan at Rs. 119,999.
