United Mobile recently partnered up with OnePlus to become the sole official distributor of OnePlus products in Pakistan. After the release of the budget and the last-gen OnePlus 8 series with a special Ramadan discount, United Mobile is now readying to bring the OnePlus 9 series to Pakistan.

OnePlus photography has never been as competitive as other big flagship players on the market, but this year, OnePlus co-engineered the cameras with the high-end optics company Hasselblad.

OnePlus 9 Pro

The Pro edition has a 48MP /1.43" Sony IMX789 sensor for its primary camera, a 50MP 14mm ultra-wide lens, an OIS-assisted 8MP telephoto camera, and a 2MP monochrome lens. The front camera is 16MP. Hasselblad’s tech allows for natural color calibration. Plus, there is a Pro mode for manually tweaking the camera settings.

Smooth performance is ensured by the top-end Snapdragon 888, 12GB of blazing-fast LPDD5 memory, and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The OnePlus 9 Pro is powered by a 4500 mAh battery that can fast charge wirelessly over 50W and 65W on a wired connection.

The visuals are just as impressive. We’re looking at a 6.7” AMOLED panel that delivers a QHD resolution at a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. It’s a curved LTPO panel toughened with Gorilla Glass.

OnePlus 9 Pro has a 10-bit color depth and can seamlessly adjust the refresh rate to conserve battery life. It is expected to starts anywhere from Rs. 160,999 to 169,999 PKR. Moreover, you can pick from Morning Mist and Pien Green shades.

OnePlus 9

The standard OnePlus 9 has the same chipset, battery, and wired fast charging specs, but its wireless charging is capped at 15W, and you get an 8GB+128GB storage configuration. Carrying a flagship Oneplus mobile price tag, the handset includes Dolby Atmos dual speakers, NFC support, and a dedicated alert slider on the side.

The camera system is shared between the two models, except the OnePlus 9 lacks the telephoto lens. It can shoot in 4K at 60 fps and employs the same Hasselblad tech.

OnePlus 9 also has a similarly trimmed-down screen. It’s a 6.55” flat panel, toughened with Gorilla Glass. It delivers a 1080P resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, but not the high color depth or the LTPO feature for dynamically adjusting the refresh rate. It comes in Winter Mist and Astral Black colors. WhatMobile puts its expected price at Rs. 129,999.
