Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra to Retain Familiar Display Design with Better Specs

Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra will put new tech under the display, but you won’t be able to tell right away. The screen design is almost identical to last year’s S26 Ultra. Ice Universe showed pictures of the phone’s screen protectors and said that this will be the least iterated design in generations.

You may have heard rumors that Samsung’s about to use M16 OLED tech on the Galaxy S27 Ultra, which was recently featured on the iQOO 16 with 10,000 nits local peak brightness. Its global peak is 2,800 nits. Brightness is only one side of the coin, though.

It seems the new M16 OLED has better color reproduction as well, and all of this is achieved while consuming 30% less power. The underlying display tech would be a huge upgrade for the Galaxy S27 Ultra, but the screen protectors make it clear that there’s no design change.

The screen protectors on both generations are too similar, perhaps interchangeable. We hear Samsung will finally upgrade the selfie camera on the Galaxy S27 Ultra and S27 Pro from 12MP to 16MP. But it won’t be at the cost of a bigger punch hole. Also, have a look at the Latest Samsung Mobile Price to compare the latest Galaxy smartphones available in Pakistan.

After what Ice Universe reported, we can safely assume the Galaxy S27 Ultra will carry over the original specs from last year. That is 6.9” AMOLED at WQHD+ 1440 x 3120px resolution. Even the bezels are unchanged. Of course, the Privacy Display will continue to exist on the S27 Ultra.

The phone’s dimensions would be familiar too, if they haven’t changed the screen size. But they do intend to feature a new camera island on the Galaxy S27 Ultra that will leave more room at the bottom for a bigger battery. The phone’s just 1g heavier, apparently, at only 215g.

A new SoC would change the game for the Galaxy S27 Pro and Ultra, since they are now considering Qualcomm’s best. Yes, we expect to see a Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 (2nm) chip on these handsets. The camera setup will miss a smaller 3X 10MP telephoto this time. Keep watching the news for more updates.
