OnePlus hasn’t closed out the flagship OnePlus 9 series just yet. At least one new edition, the OnePlus 9RT is currently in the works. OnePlus’ Chinese arm has been teasing the phone’s features and previews. We also have a launch timeline.
The OnePlus 9RT is a higher-end edition of the OnePlus 9R, slated for debut on October 13. The event will likely be a virtual one. Sales start on October 19. Ahead of this release, the promos out all the key specifications.
Like the rest of the OnePlus 9 series, the OnePlus 9RT has the top-shelf Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 at its heart. You get upwards of 12GB of LPDDR5 memory and blazing-fast UFS 3.1 storage. OnePlus virtually extends the RAM by 7GB for even better multitasking. Android 11 + ColorOS ships with the phone.
The Oneplus new model phone 2021 runs on a 4500 mAh battery, powered over 65W Warp Charge. OnePlus promises a full charge in just 29 minutes. The 9RT also integrates a cooling system to prevent throttling. Altogether, it’s a high-performance flagship setup.
OnePlus 9RT’s display is an E4 AMOLED panel that refreshes at 120Hz. It’s a hole-punched screen, surrounded by a slim bezel. Three lenses occupy the camera housing on the backplate.
The OnePlus 9RT features a 50MP wide camera. But the Hasselblad optics, which was the highlight of the original OnePlus 9 series, is nowhere to be found here.
