Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 Hands-on Images leaked Ahead of launch

Samsung’s latest foldable duo, Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Z Flip 4, is about to go official at the upcoming Samsung Unpacked event on August 10th. Several design mockups for these phones have been floating around the Internet for a while now. About a week ago, Evan Blass, a credible leaker at 91mobile, managed to dig up some official-looking renders that made a big splash. All the design and render leaks have led us to this moment.

Until now, there were only speculations as to how the duo seems. We recently saw a post on Twitter by @non_tech presenting a real-life view of both foldable kings. Rumors about rehashing and polishing the old design have finally settled with hands-on images. We will discuss the refinements Samsung made this year to the duo.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4

The Galaxy Z Fold 4 appears to have a unique hinge, which gives it a neater look. The outer screen is a little wider, which lines up with leaks that said the Fold 4 would have larger proportions.

Looking at Fold 4’s hands-on view, we can affirm a few changes made to the build. The camera module has been made slightly more prominent. A Single-hinge mechanism used in Galaxy Flip phones has made its way to Fold 4. The device has a more streamlined finish.

They have substantially reduced the crease in the middle — it almost feels non-existent from the pics. The aspect ratio switch to 6:5 (internal) and 23:9 (cover) claimed by the leaker, Ice universe, seems legit. Our sources have confirmed a 50MP primary snapper mounted on Z Fold 4.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4

The Galaxy Z Flip 4, on the other hand, appears to have a slimmer hinge than its predecessor and Samsung may have slimmed down the bezels a bit too. The display also looks a little bigger.

Changes in Flip 4 seem ever so minor. Its Black accent on the backside-top is a bit bigger to lay that 2.1-inch cover display instead of a 1.9-inch one on the Flip 3. Crease looks well blended into the panel. The phone is slightly bigger, indicating a 3700mAh cell used instead of 3400 mAh on the last one.

Both phones rock Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 — The best performing and power efficient SoC out right now, boosting their battery life substantially. We will keep you updated as more leaks unfold.
