There are already two Vivo V80 Lite 5G versions on the global market. And one of those is specifically made for Pakistan. It’s time they gave some attention to the primary device in the series. Vivo V80 is apparently coming soon. We came across a Leak on X that detailed some of its upgrades.
The first one is pretty obvious. We don’t need a leak to confirm this fact. Origin OS 7 (Android 17) is prebuilt on the Vivo V80 as the default home UI. So you get all the new features from Google and some from Vivo. And this new OS actually comes with some niche camera upgrades.
They’ve added some more creative editing features to the camera. Vivo latest V mobile has AI Creative Camera with 30+ AI effects, though we aren’t exactly sure what this feature does. The leaker didn’t get into the specifics either. But we assume it’s some sort of AI filter.
Then there’s a Live Sticker Collage tool. This does exactly what its name would advise. The third one is a new Night Portrait 2.0 mode. Android phone cameras usually don’t allow portraits if the environment is too dark. So this feature will actually come in handy.
Battery is also being upgraded, by the way. The leaker says the Vivo V80 has the potential to last two days on a single charge. And that the phone’s capacity was bumped from 6500mAh all the way to 7200mAh. Well, this is the largest battery we’ve seen on the V series yet (other than the V80 Lite’s 10,000mAh cell).
The launch isn’t too far now. Leakers in the past have predicted an official debut in September. Vivo won’t change the camera hardware or the chipset. So this newcomer would end up with the same Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chip as last time and a 50MP (main) + 50MP (PT) + 8MP (UW) lens stack. Keep watching the news for more updates.
