A global version of the Vivo V80 was announced today via a press release. Southeast Asia is on the list. And so is the Middle East, among several “other” regions. Not exactly sure what Vivo meant by others, but Pakistan could be one of them. This is everything you need to know.

Global versions usually arrive in Pakistan, so we have high hopes for the Vivo V80 as well. Wander Green and Vast Gray are the basic colors. Sunrise Anthem is special, but familiar. The only color we haven’t seen on the V80 is the Starwish Purple. We wait for the promos, of course, to get a peek.
Specs and prices could vary by region. It says that right there in the press release. They could be talking about alternate NFC and SIM/5G configurations, but we cannot rule out major hardware changes right now. Let’s hope they stick to the former and keep the rest of the specs. It’s already bad enough that Vivo V80 is barely an upgrade this year. If you're considering an upgrade, visit the Vivo Rate List to explore your smartphone options.

The first most obvious upgrade is the battery. It has gotten bigger, from 6500mAh to 7200mAh (Si/C). This small change would add a few more hours of screen time to the V80. It rehashed the 90W charging, which means the refills would take longer.
This newcomer apparently has a 144Hz now (vs. 120Hz on V70). It doesn’t change anything else. This is still a 6.59” AMOLED at 1.5K resolution. And there’s up to 5000 nits of local peak brightness here. 4320Hz PWM dimming and HDR10+ support make it a flagship display.

A 50MP selfie camera lives under the hole cutout on said AMOLED. We saw the ZEISS logo on its camera bar; they switched up the V80’s design to look like an iPhone. The camera stack has a 50MP main Sony LYT 700V sensor with OIS and PDAF, doing 4K 60 FPS and 4K cinematic recording.
You have a 50MP periscope telephoto camera right next to it, and of course, we get an 8MP ultrawide unit. No chipset upgrade this year. A Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chip does the heavy lifting. The base storage is dropped to 128GB (UFS 3.1). The default OS is Android 17 with four major updates.
