Vivo V80 has had a Chinese launch, then a global rollout, and now it’s coming to Pakistan. Apparently, the local launch is scheduled for this month, and though we don’t have the exact date yet, everything else about this newcomer is already out there. This is everything you can expect from it.

The Pakistani launch is near, just as we predicted when we did the coverage for its global release. The info we have indicates that Rise Orange will be the hero color. Vision Green and Prime Gray are probably going to follow the lead. This year’s phone would be pricey, though.
They had to cut back the base storage to 128GB. But Vivo won’t release that version to Pakistan. What we’ll have in our market would be the 256GB and 512GB trims. Since there’s no base slot, you are forced to buy upper variants, and they obviously cost more.

Anyway, Vivo V80 scored a bigger cell. They’ve upgraded this newcomer from 6500mAh to 7200mAh. This small change would add a few more hours of screen time. It has rehashed the 90W Flash charging, though. Not that it’s anything to complain about. That’s still pretty quick for refills.

The refresh rate is better. This newcomer apparently has a 144Hz now when the V70 only had 120Hz. Nothing else changed. This is still a 6.59” AMOLED at 1.5K resolution. 4320Hz PWM dimming and HDR10+ support make it a flagship display. And then there’s the 5000 nits of local (peak) brightness here.

The camera setup is high-grade. 50MP main unit is made of a Sony LYT 700V sensor. And then we have a 50MP periscope 3X zoom lens on the back with OIS and Autofocus. The third one is an 8MP ultrawide unit. Its selfie camera is a 50MP sensor as well, and you can pull 4K 30FPS footage from it.
They’ve dragged the same Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chip for the third generation now. So there’s no performance upgrade on the Vivo V80. They did switch to Android 17 Origin OS 7 (four OS updates). The ultrasonic fingerprint reader is still there, and so is the IP68/IP69 rating. Vivo V80 will possibly cost between Rs 214,999 and Rs 219,999. We’ll report back when we have the exact launch date and price.
