The Korean manufacturer has been betting on folding smartphones as a market trend and is about to launch the sequel to the Galaxy Z Fold 3. Now, new unofficial information has emerged about the display size and aspect ratio of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4.

According to leaker Ice Universe, A well-known tipster in the mobile industry, the next generation of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold will have a more square shape. Both external and internal displays will be wider than before, to accompany the new design.

As per the source, the South Korean brand will abandon the 5:4 rectangular aspect ratio of the Galaxy Z Fold 3 's internal screen to adopt a squarer and wider aspect ratio of 6:5. The external cover display also shifts from 24.5:9 to now 23:9.

With this, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 can have its height reduced, which would be compensated with a greater width. The brand's idea would be to facilitate the use of applications that are based on the orientation of the cell phone, in addition to making it more comfortable to use.

The new displays are also said to feature some advancements, such as an improved typing experience. The typing on Z Fold 3 was missing the punch, leading the user to frequent typos.

Other rumors also point out that the Samsung Latest Fold model could bring a set of cameras similar to the S22 Ultra, excluding the periscope telephoto lens, perhaps due to the lack of space on the device.

The Galaxy Z Flip 4 is also said to have a 3,700mAh battery, according to Ice Universe. If accurate, it might put a stop to the flip phone's battery life issues for good. But the recent certifications still list the flip's battery to be 3,400mAh, so it could just be a fluke altogether.

Along with the reverse wireless charging and enhanced Cameras, the duo is also said to sport 25W fast charging. The Galaxy Fold 4 could come equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen1 Plus processor and, despite the size reduction, keep the 4,400 mAh battery. The Galaxy Z Fold 4 is expected to be released in the second half of this year.
