Y500 launched in China back in September 2025, but it never got an international version. Now we hear reports of three separate Vivo Y500 versions ready for global release. All three passed the Bluetooth SIG certification earlier, which is all the proof we need to verify that they are real.
We’ll put a screenshot of Bluetooth SIG’s official listings here. You can see the Y500 added three times in the database. And each has its own model number as well: V2627/V2634/V2635. No one knows what exactly is so different about these handsets to demand separate model numbers.
Vivo usually just drops the same model in the global markets and calls it a day, but something different is happening with the Vivo new Y mobile Other brands like Infinix or Tecno do it when the phones have different batteries for various markets. That could be the case here, but it’s just speculation at this point.
V2506 was the model code for the Chinese Vivo Y500. The phone looked like an X series handset from the back. By the way, this particular version was built on a Dimensity 7300 SoC. That’s a 4nm engine at 2.5GHz boost clock, so it performed on a midrange level.
The original Y500 also had an AMOLED 6.77” screen that had a 5000 nits peak brightness. And the panel itself was near bezeless Diamond Shield Glass display with 1080p FHD+ resolution. It hit 120Hz refresh rate and 3840Hz PWM dimming as well.
The one in China used an 8200 mAh Si/C cell, which was the largest in the series at that time. We know it’s off-topic, but it seems Vivo is not done with the V70 series yet because we just saw a listing at Bluetooth SIG for the Vivo V70 Lite 4G. That handset is also coming soon.
The V70 Lite 4G was already cleared for the US market after the FCC’s certification, and we were hoping to hear more about the handset. The Bluetooth SIG database is more proof that the phone is really coming. We can’t help but suspect a global announcement coming for the Y500 and V70 Lite 4G. So keep watching the news for updates.
