Vivo Y500 was released at the beginning of this month with a Dimensity 7300 and the lineup’s largest ever 8200mAh battery. The Vivo Y500 Pro will be an even more powerful handset. The teasers for this device have begun to drop, and the company revealed a Samsung ISOCELL 200MP camera on the Y500 Pro. Here’s all you need to know about this device before it goes official.

Han Boxiao from Vivo’s product management team has confirmed that the brand is working on the Y500 Pro now, and one of its biggest upgrades is the camera. The primary lens on this handset is a 200MP camera based on Samsung’s ISOCELL HP5 sensor.

This is the same camera that’s rumored on the Vivo V60e. The Y500 Pro seems to be a facelifted or modified version of the latter. Let’s wait and see how identical these two phones are. The HP5 is a bit older, so it won’t stack up with the current ISOCELL HPB 200MP sensor on the X300 series.

Of course, the numbers matter less and less these days. The actual image quality depends on the software optimization. Vivo didn’t partner with ZEISS for the Vivo new 5G models' optics, so expect midrange camera quality from this 200MP main camera.

Vivo V60e is expected to drop sometime in October, right around the launch of the X300 series. The “e” version will probably share most of its hardware with the Y500 Pro. We’ve heard rumors that the V60e is an IP69-rated phone with an Android 15 core.

A leak recently showed that its camera is 200MP OIS with an 8MP ultrawide lens and a 50MP selfie snapper. It is run by a Dimensity 7360 Turbo chipset, the same platform that debuted inside the V60 Lite. The battery on this model seems to be a 6500mAh pack.

The phone allegedly brings 12GB maximum RAM and 256GB storage on the priciest trim. Vivo will release the Origin OS 6 x Android 16 on October 10. Devices unveiled after that should get the same new firmware. Let’s see if the company upgrades the V60e and Y500 Pro’s operating systems before the debut. Keep watching the news for updates.
