One UI 9 was released in the company’s home market for the Samsung Galaxy A56. Now it’s being sent to the global versions. The stable verison of Android 17 was just seen on the Middle Eastern Galaxy A56, and this will inevitably reach countries in Asia. We’ll be seeing the same update in Pakistan before long.

This is a full Android update, so the OTA package is a huge download. It’s a 2,314.37 MB update, so WiFi is a better way to go. Anyway, this new OS update is supposed to bring the firmware to version A566BXXUEDZJ1. That letter “B” in the middle is code for the global Galaxy A56.
SM-A566B is the exact model they deployed in Pakistan back in the day, so we’ll be seeing this update on the local Galaxy A56s in a matter of days. In fact, we advise you to check for updates right now to see if the stable One UI 9 is available for download.

Anyway, the update has the same set of improvements and fixes that the other Galaxy phones have had in the past. The stock apps are better. The search bar is moved to the bottom on most of them. Its lock screen and quick panel are way more customizable now.

Samsung Notes has added a few more AI tools. Location privacy indicators will pop up every time some app accesses your GPS. And there are a bunch of accessibility upgrades in One UI 9. A simple set of instructions should get you up and running with One UI 9 if you own a Samsung latest A model.
You have to “Check for Updates” first, so go to the Settings and Software Updates menu. When the changelog appears, you have to press the accompanying “Download and Install”, and it should do the trick. A quick reboot, and that’s it. You have One UI 9.
