Galaxy A36 isn’t the only one grabbing the official, stable version of the One UI 8.5. The company had already rolled out the same update for the Samsung Galaxy A56 in South Korea just days ago. Now the update is being unlocked in more regions. This is everything we know.

Not all the global markets have the update right now. We assume it will take some time for the full cycle in Europe to complete as they update the Galaxy A56 country by country. Yes, the European rollout has started right after the Korean One UI 8.5 cycle for the A56.
Tarun Vats broke the news. A566BXXUACZDR is the firmware version that the One UI 8.5 update carries in Europe. The size of the OTA package is just north of 3GB. And you should always have a stable connection for a clean download.

This is not a complete UI overhaul, but they’ve certainly added a lot of features to this update. By the way, the April 2026 security patch is also a part of this package, so you are getting a security boost on your new Samsung A mobile if you commit to this update.
Bixby has become smarter. And it will understand natural spoken language a bit better. Bixby now has context awareness, so it can recall any last conversation that you might have had with it. There are more lock screen customizations in the update.

Auto layout adjustment does magic for people and pet wallpapers. More clock styles can be seen in the lock screen customization. Storage Sharing speed among Samsung devices was also improved here. We’ll also see Auto Hotspots and faster Smart View connections after this update.
They may not have unlocked the stable One UI 8.5 in Pakistan just yet, but you can certainly check for its availability in the Software Updates menu in the Settings.
