iPhone 18 Pro Tipped to Launch in Three Colorways; Report Rules Out Fourth Option

Plenty of leaks have predicted the color palette for the Apple iPhone 18 Pro, but this one is the most credible of all. The news is from a known leaker in China. Three of the colors shared in the leak were seen before. The source gave a nod to those three finishes again. But they deny the existence of the fourth color.

This leak is from Fixed Focus Digital, and his track record with these sorts of leaks is nothing to scoff at. So today’s post can’t be denied right away. Anyhow, FFD has contradicted all the previous reports that seem to include a silver color on the palette.

iPhone 18 Pro may not have the silver finish if that leak’s true, but there’s still Sky Blue and Pure Black in the collection. And the Dark Cherry/Burgundy option will be the hero color this year in place of the Cosmic Orange from last year.

By the way, all three colors are new, completely distinct from the iPhone 17 Pro series. It’s obvious why they can’t let the color palette be the same as last year. There’s no obvious design difference between the Apple iphone new model and 17 Pro, so the only way to tell them apart would be the colors.

There was already a silver color on the older Pro model. Of course, the iPhone 18 Pro would purge that finish from the collection in 2026, so there’s no way to confuse the two. Subtle size changes are still a possibility, though, and here’s why.

iPhone 18 Pro Max is going to adopt variable aperture tech for the camera, and it will need a lot of space on the back. So, to accommodate that, they are willing to make the phone a bit thicker. Early rumors pegged the VA sensor on both the Pro and Pro Max, but a new report said otherwise.

Apparently, the iPhone 18 Pro Max’s chassis is big enough to afford a VA sensor on the main camera, but simple Pro is a compact model. There may not be enough space for a variable aperture camera. We’ll know more about the cameras soon enough. iPhone 18 Pros are supposed to launch on September 9th. Keep watching the news for more updates.
