Vivo Y500 Coming to Pakistan Soon with 8100mAh Battery and 1.5K Infinity AMOLED

Vivo has been teasing the Y500 for the last couple of days. They haven’t officially announced it yet, but offline retailers have kicked off the preorders for two of its variants. Of course, early booking has its perks. You get 12months extra warranty and an exclusive gift with each order.

It’s not quite ready for retail. Our sources told us that the preorders might end on June 19th, which is also the opening day for sales. By the way, Vivo is playing it close to the vest. The preorder details, including the prices, all came from the supply chain, not Vivo.

Two of the variants they plan to launch here are 128GB and 256GB. This is not the device we saw in the global market. It has a different design altogether. We have a theory. Carriers in our region are still predominantly 4G. There is 5G out there, but it’s scarce. So the Vivo new Y mobile we have in Pakistan is LTE-based.

This specific Vivo Y500 has an 8100mAh BlueVolt battery, so you can bet it has endurance for days. In labs, they say it lasted 10 hours straight with mixed usage and still had 42% left in the tank. The cell will recharge over a 44W input, so it’s moderately fast at refills.

The newcomer’s screen is a 1.5K infinity AMOLED at 6.83”. The bezels are 1.35mm thin, and the AMOLED hits 2000 nits on HBM, 5000 nits at peak. This is also a 120Hz panel. Vivo Y500 is not too shabby, screen-wise, and it fits the bill in this category.

Sadly, the SoC running the Y500 is only marked down as a smooth 6nm processor. Well, it’s a 4G device, so there are very limited options out there that fit the description. But the phone is too costly to justify any of them. The newcomer makes up for it in other areas.

Durability is outstanding here. Vivo Y500 is IP68 and IP69 waterproof and dustproof. It even has a military-grade shockproof design. This newcomer has Android 16 running on it by default, as OriginOS 6. There are a bunch of AI features built into the firmware.

There’s a 50MP main camera on it, next to a 2MP bokeh lens. And the selfie cam is 32MP. The WiFi is only dual-band 5GHz. The screen does have a fingerprint reader on it. Dual speakers output stereo audio on the Vivo Y500. The tentative price for the base 8/128GB version is Rs 99,999. Vivo Y500 (8/256GB) might bump it all the way to Rs 109,999.
