Honor X6e Launches with Helio G81 Ultra, 7500mAh Battery, and 45W Fast Charging

The Honor X6 family already has a ton of devices. We’ve seen at least five versions so far. But they’ve now unveiled a sixth in Malaysia called the Honor X6e, and it has a huge 7500mAh cell, bigger than any other sibling before it. This is what the spec sheet looks like on the Honor X6e.

Sadly, the battery is the only great feature it has for what it costs. A buyer would certainly expect more for the price. We’ll get to that in a bit. Honor X6e is built around a Helio G81 Ultra. This chip is only good for light work. It’s not a great fit for heavy tasks or gaming.

Only 4GB of RAM is supplied with this handset. There’s no other trim. 128GB storage is built in. Honor new budget model had the same setup, but it had more RAM and plenty of other storage options too. These two phones even have matching TFT screens.

Yes, the Honor X6e has a 6.61” TFT LCD, which may not be as good as an IPS panel we usually see on Chinese phones. 120Hz is the refresh rate here. HD+ or 720p resolution is also supported, and the brightness goes all the way to 1010 nits, which is not too shabby for an LCD.

Again, this newcomer has a 7500mAh cell, which is certainly more than enough for two days of runtime. An average user will need to charge it once every two days at a speedy 45W input. And the best part is: you get a 45W charger in the box, at least in Malaysia.

They’ve put a 50MP main camera on the back, which is a good start, and actually fits the bill. But it’s hard to stomach a measly 5MP selfie camera for this price. At least they’ve put the selfie on a punch hole, and not a notch like the other X6 siblings.

You get a garden-variety IP64 splashproof rating with the Honor X6e, and there’s a 1.8-meter drop safety rating from SGS to put your mind at ease. This newcomer also has a 3.5mm headphone jack that’s becoming rarer and rarer these days. You can keep the phone locked with a side fingerprint reader. The phone’s official price tag is MYR 699 (~PKR 47,000).
