Samsung Galaxy S22+ has been featured in several leaks that point out its internal specifications. At this point, everything is finalized. The new S-series phones are about to enter production. And the pre-release benchmarks continue to crop up online.
GeekBench, the popular cross-platform benchmark, posted the CPU scores for the Samsung Galaxy S22 Plus. It can be looked up under the model number ‘SM-S906.’ The listing also includes a few system specs for the phone.
For starters, the chipset inside the Galaxy S22 Plus is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 898 that fairly justifies the hefty Samsung mobile price tag. It tells us the benchmarked model is the U.S. edition since Samsung ships Snapdragon-powered flagships to only a couple of select markets.
Qualcomm will drop this upcoming premium chip on November 30, so little is known about the Snapdragon 898 right now. The baseline S22+ gets 8GB of memory. OneUI 4 based on Android 12 powers the flagship Galaxy.
It manages 1163 points on single-core and 2728 points on multi-core tests. For context, this year’s Galaxy S21+ (with comparable specifications) hits 1033 and 3148 points, respectively. Pre-release benchmarks are almost always subject to change, however.
All South Asian markets, including Pakistan, get the Exynos 2200 powered Galaxy S22+. The Exynos-based variant of the Galaxy S22+ has also been featured on Geekbench. But it wasn’t tested at its capacity, which makes it tricky to contrast the two.
