Samsung Galaxy A57 TENAA Listing Confirms Nearly Everything About its Hardware

Samsung is aggressively getting its Galaxy A57 cleared by certifiers all over the globe, because the launch is very close. It’s unconfirmed, but the event is rumored to take place in mid-February for Galaxy A37 and A57. TENAA has certified the latter in China and revealed most of its specifications.

The specs you are about to read are pretty much set in stone for the Galaxy A57, because they come straight from a regulatory body. TENAA says it’s built around a 6.6” screen that has an FHD+ resolution or 1080p. Then there’s a new octacore chip on it.

New Samsung Galaxy model brings a 2.9GHz platform, and we’ve known about this chip for a while now, courtesy of Geekbench. This is probably the Exynos 1680. We also heard that it has an Xclipse 550 GPU onboard, which is based on RDNA 3.5 technologies.

The SoC is probably the biggest upgrade on this phone, though we can’t say the same about A57’s battery or camera. They’ve decided to reuse the old 5000mAh cell. Samsung has possibly made changes to the battery design. The phone’s body is now 6.9mm thick.

TUV is another platform that rated this handset for 45W charging. There were rumors that the ultrawide camera would be promoted to 13MP. But we didn’t see that number on the TENAA listing. All it revealed is a 50MP Main camera with 12MP + 5MP secondary sensors.

Of course, this newcomer will have a selfie camera. TENAA says it’s 12MP. The listing all but confirms that Galaxy A57 has no optical upgrades. This is a certification after all, so there’s still plenty of information that’s concealed from us.

We have heard reports that the Samsung Galaxy A57 may be the first in its category with a Flexible OLED. This is usually found on the flagship phones. But Samsung will not be the one making this OLED. They’ve shaken hands with CSOT to mass-produce the screen. Keep watching the news for more updates.
