Samsung Galaxy A57 and A37 Receive EU Energy Labels, Exposing Battery Life & Durability

The rumored February launch for the Galaxy A series didn’t pan out, and we’re now hoping to see the Galaxy A57 and A37 in March. These handsets just received their EU Energy labels after thorough testing. And thanks to that, we’ve uncovered some details about their endurance and durability.

SM-A576B/DS is the model they tested for the Energy Label. The certifier has put the Galaxy A57 in the A class for overall product quality. The newcomer has been cleared with an IP68 rating, which is up from last year’s IP67. The upgrade obviously means better resistance to water and other liquids.

The Galaxy A57 has C-tier repairability, by the way. That’s been a sore spot for previous devices as well. But the drop safety rating jumped to A-tier. Again, it has the improved IP68 rating. But we’re afraid the Galaxy A57 has gone backwards in terms of battery health and charge cycles. The latest Samsung smartphone prices in Pakistan are updated regularly for March 2026.

It’s the same case for both devices, not just the Galaxy A57. The older Galaxy A36 and A56 had 2,000 charging cycles. Sadly, the newer Galaxy A57 and A37 only passed the test for 1200 cycles (before hitting 80% battery health). Galaxy S26 saw the same backward movement this year.

The Energy Label didn’t give any parameters for the endurance test. It’s probably the idle battery drain test on which the Galaxy A57 lasted 52 hours, and the A37 lasted 53 hours. The ratings weren’t all the same for the Galaxy A37, though.

The cheaper A37 (SM-A376B/DS) apparently has a B-tier drop protection. The repairability is in the C class, but the build quality on the whole is still A tier. The phone has the same IP68 dust and waterproof rating as the A57. These two devices are next up for launch, since Samsung has already unveiled the Galaxy S26 series. Keep watching the news for updates.
