One UI 9 beta is unlocked for the Samsung Galaxy A55 with limited access to users in select regions. The news came from South Korea, where this update was seen for the first time. This beta version has also started deployment in a South Asian market. Here’s everything we know.
One UI 9 Android 17 beta made for the Samsung Galaxy A55 is a 2GB download only. This is a small package for what’s basically a full Android OS and UI upgrade. And the OTA update also brings the software to the September 2026 security patch.
By the way, this is just the first beta. And most of the features are probably reserved for future updates anyway. So a small update size makes sense. Again, this update was seen on the South Korean A55 models and the indian version as well.
Samsung new A model beta One UI 9 firmware ends on ZZI1/EZI1 in South Korea. ZZI1/EZI2 are the partial codes you’ll see at the end of the A55’s beta firmware in India. The update isn’t sanctioned for A55 devices in any other regions, at least not officially. We do expect to see the beta in more countries soon.
You have to become a Samsung member to test the One UI 9 Beta on your Galaxy A55. Either sign up or log in to the Samsung Members app and pledge to give feedback as you test the beta version. Or you can wait for the stable version. That will probably take a few months.
Galaxy A55 is already two years old, and it started with Android 14. This phone was only meant to receive four OS updates, and it has already used up two. One UI 9 makes it three.
