Samsung Galaxy A55 is the Latest to Receive One UI 7 Update Globally

Samsung has officially begun the global rollout of One UI 7 (based on Android 15) for the Galaxy A55. The update first arrived in South Korea nearly two weeks ago, where this device is sold as the Galaxy Quantum 5. Now, it’s finally making its way to international Galaxy A55 users.

From today, the One UI 7 update is available for the A55 devices in the European regions, and the rollout should expand to more countries as soon as it finishes there. Pakistani users daily driving the A55 should be able to access this update by the end of this month.

As for the currently expanding build, A55 owners from the European region can spot the update with the firmware code “A556BXXU7BYDB.” One UI 7 update transforms and overhauls the entire software. It also includes the May 2025 security patch, so the update has a substantial size of 2.8 GB. A stable WiFi connection is recommended to download the package.

Everyone who wants to update their Galaxy A55 should “Check for Update” via Settings >> Software Update menu. Once it retrieves the files from the server (provided the update is available in the region), you can press “Download and Install“ and let the phone upgrade to a new Android 15-based system. As Samsung rolls out these updates, many users are also checking the Samsung price list to compare models and see what fits their needs best.

A few changes that you will notice right off the bat are the “Now Bar” with optimized animations. There are new icons for Samsung apps and a completely revamped Notification shade. We also have some new widgets in the mix.

The Galaxy A55 now feels as amazing as the Galaxy A56, though you won’t see any new Galaxy AI features on this device. Those are still very much exclusive to the flagship Galaxy S series. Make sure to read the ChangeLog before committing to the update, because there’s no official support for rolling back to One UI 6.

Galaxy A55 is on the roadmap to receive four major updates after Android 14. Once you upgrade your phone to One UI 7, you will still be eligible for at least three years of Android OS support. The One UI 7 should be arriving in Pakistan any day now, so keep an eye on the “Software Update” settings on your Galaxy A55.
