DxOMark adds two more devices to its comprehensive list of evaluations. The platform has unveiled the display scores for Samsung's latest mid-range Galaxy A55 and A35. Impressively, the recently launched smartphones achieved overall scores of 141 and 134 points, respectively.
While there are other AMOLED devices with higher scores on the market, the display scores achieved by the Galaxy A55 and A35 are remarkable, considering their price points. Both phones are leading in their respective segments, equally boasting 6.6-inch 120Hz super AMOLED displays with 1000nits brightness and HDR10+ ratings.
Starting with the Samsung Galaxy A55, the handset clinched an impressive overall score of 141 points, securing the top position in the "high-end" segment. According to DxOMark, the A55's display offers excellent readability even in bright sunlight, alongside natural color rendering across various lighting conditions.
Furthermore, the Galaxy A55 provides an enjoyable video-viewing experience, providing suitable brightness levels for HDR10 content. However, the review noted excessive auto-brightness in low-light environments and occasional color fringing at specific viewing angles on the Samsung budget new mobile.
On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy A35 scored 134 points overall, positioning itself as the leader in the "Advanced entry-tier" segment. Like its counterpart, the A35 excels in color accuracy and outdoor visibility, a feat uncommon among budget-friendly smartphones.
Despite its strengths, the Galaxy A35 was flagged for occasional unwanted touches, highlighting an area for potential improvement. Concluding the results, the Samsung Galaxy A55 and A35 have garnered attention for their impressive displays, reinforcing Samsung’s position as the leading OLED manufacturer in the industry.
