Samsung Galaxy A37 is a new phone, but it isn’t invulnerable. The company has released a new update for it that apparently fixes 47 known vulnerabilities in the preceding firmware. Galaxy A56 also tagged along with the same patch. This is everything you need to know about their April 2026 security patch.

The firmware on the Galaxy A37 was updated to version A376BXXS2AZC2. Then comes the Galaxy A56 that seems to have the same April patch but with a firmware version A566BXXSABZD2. The OTA package on each phone has the same characteristics, by the way.
We know that this firmware is being seeded in Europe right now. However, it’s only a matter of time before they decide to expand it. So Galaxy A37 and A56 users in Pakistan ought to keep track of this update. The April 2026 patch will be here in a week or two.

As we said above, this update is meant to patch over 47 weak points in the firmware of these Samsung latest 5G models. The bulk of the security is for the core Android 16 OS. Google has deployed at least 33 fixes, which make up the majority.

There are at least 4 other patches that came from Samsung semiconductor foundry. The other 10 came from the phone maker itself. And just to drive the point home, Google has designated 14 of the patches as critical, so the update must be installed as soon as it’s unlocked.
There’s a simple way to check if the April patch is available in your region. The native Settings app has the Software Updates center at the bottom. You click it and find the button that says “Check for Updates.” The phone will run a quick scan. A “Download and Install” option will appear upon availability.
