Samsung’s Galaxy AX7 series isn’t complete yet. We still have the A27, A37, and Galaxy A57 on their way. The latter just appeared on Samsung’s test servers, which usually means the company is in the final stages of production. Granted, the phone will not launch for the next few months, but this is the first official sign that Galaxy A57 is imminent.
Some internal information about Galaxy A57 has been found on Samsung’s test servers. That’s where all the details about the company’s mobile firmwares are stored. Their directory was updated last night with a model code SM-A57B, which can easily be identified as Galaxy A57.
The associated details include the first internal build that the A57 is going to support. The firmware versions the company is testing for this device are A576BXXU0AYJ7/A576BOXM0AYJ7/A576BXXU0AYJ7. That listing was first reported by an X/Twitter leaker, and now it’s being shared all over the internet.

The listing itself didn’t have any helpful information about the phone’s hardware, but we did find some clues about its chipset early on. Back in August, a Geekbench listing appeared for the the new Samsung 5G mobile, A57, and it had the SoC code “S5E8865.” Analysts are calling it Exynos 1680, but the official name is a mystery.
That Geekbench listing was for the phone’s OpenCL test. It seems to have at least 8GB of RAM and the Samsung Xclipse 550 GPU. And with that configuration, the A57 hits 6524 points. That should give you some idea of its GPU performance, if you want to compare numbers with other chips.

No specs can be found on the web at the moment because it’s too early. But Samsung has a conservative stance toward hardware upgrades, so we may not see any major changes over the old Galaxy A56. By the way, the A56 is built around an Exynos 1580 chip, and it carries a 5000mAh battery.
There’s a 6.7” AMOLED on the current A56 model at a 120Hz refresh rate and a FHD+ resolution. The charging speeds are capped at 45W. You can expect minor upgrades here, but the A57 will mostly stick with the old spec sheet. Keep watching the news for more updates.
