Samsung Galaxy A22 5G Leaked in High-quality Product Renders; A New Design Direction

Samsung has at least one more 5G Galaxy A-series phone lined up for launch soon. The Samsung Galaxy A22 5G, when released, will become the most affordable 5G phone in Samsung’s catalog. Courtesy of LetsGoDigital, it was leaked in high-quality product images. Here’s what they show.

With the Samsung Galaxy A32, Samsung took a new direction in design. Instead of housing the cameras inside yet another squarish plate, each lens sticks out the shell, bound inside a ring. You can see the same design language reflected in the Galaxy A22, available in mint, violet white, charcoal, and yellow colors.

Further, based on the A32 build, the Galaxy A22 has a notched front and a minimal chin. No capacitive fingerprint scanner to be seen on the new Samsung mobile in the product renders, suggesting an on-screen sensor.

Recall that the A32 5G features an LCD, while its LTE variant has an AMOLED screen. Since the A22 is also offered in both 4G and 5G flavors, we could see the two phones use LCD and OLED panels in this fashion too. Each edition will come in at least two storage variants.

As for the cameras, the A22 5G reportedly uses a 48MP primary lens, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a pair of 2MP sensors, presumably meant for portrait and macro photography. The selfie camera has an 8MP sensor behind it. Industry analyst Evan Blass, better known as @evleaks, says that the Galaxy A22 is slated for release in July.
