It's been a while since OneUI 5.1 began roll-out. As expected, the company’s entry-level phones are receiving it late. The Samsung Galaxy A22 is one of the older entry-level handsets and has just received the full-fledged OS update. In this piece, you will find a thorough analysis of the latest software; please keep reading to learn more.

The latest update on Galaxy A22 not only brings the software up to par with other mid-range phones, but it also features a Security Patch. The new OTA updates the firmware version to A226BXXU5DWC1.  It’s important to note that A22’s version of OS is OneUI 5.1 Core, which, compared to the non-core versions, is not as feature-rich.

Currently, the new software update is doing rounds in the Nordic countries. The remaining global markets are on the charts to begin receiving the update soon. The same goes for the Pakistani market. Upon availability, Galaxy A22 users will get an alert to update their phones; if not, they can manually navigate to Device Settings > Software Updates and tap Check for Updates.

The included April Security Patch 2023 brings fixes for over 66 newborn vulnerabilities to privacy, 55 of which are Google-served. Although it’s not as feature-packed, the update should serve you well as it streamlines security on your Samsung devices, especially with the rising concern about data breaches. With the latest Samsung price list, you can elevate your tech game without breaking the bank.

OneUI 5.1 Core should sit well with Galaxy A22’s hardware comprising a super AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate, Helio G80 SoC, 48MP rear camera, 13MP front camera, side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and a 5000mAh cell. Check the phone’s full feature set through the link given above.
