Samsung just introduced the Galaxy A22 to the Pakistani market. The A22 is the latest budget phone in the A-series, packing massive upgrades over the previous generation. The phone comes in two memory configurations; we have the pricing and features to report.

The most noteworthy upgrade has to be the new camera system on the Samsung Galaxy A22. It’s a quad-camera array featuring a 48MP f/1.8 camera with optical image stabilization. Other than recording shake-free video, the A22 can also shoot crisp, clear, and bright shots in low-light, thanks to the OIS technology. You also get a  123-degree ultra-wide lens, a 2MP macro camera, and a 2MP portrait shooter.

In contrast to the generic IPS LCD of the Galaxy A21, the A22 features a 6.4” SuperAMOLED screen, toughened with Gorilla Glass 5. It’s a 720P panel that refreshes at a smooth 90Hz refresh rate and peaks at 600 nits of brightness. A U-shaped notch melts into the display, containing a 13MP selfie camera.

The manufacturer has also polished the design. Following the new design language of the Galaxy A-series, the A22 has a squarish camera island with a matrix-style camera cluster. The back of Samsung's new model for 2021 is flat and clean, available in Mint and Black colors. Plus, the fingerprint scanner has been merged with the power button.

The Galaxy A22 also has the performance end covered with its MediaTek Helio G80 chip (although Samsung is reluctant to outright name the SoC on the official product page.) It’s powered by a 5000 mAh battery that offers all-day battery life. The A22 is quick-charged over 15W.

You get 128GB of internal storage, expandable up to 1 TB with a microSD card. The handset comes in two variants; Samsung Galaxy A22 6GB and A22 4GB; the 4GB variant starts from Rs. 40,900 and the 6GB retails at Rs. Rs. 43,750.
