Realme GT 2 Pro Goes on Pre-sale in China Before its Official Global Launch

The Realme GT 2 series is not dropping until January 4, but Realme has started accepting pre-orders through third-party vendors in China. The Realme GT 2 Pro is already listed on several online stores, alongside its specs and previews. But note that it’s a so-called ‘blind sale’ because Realme hasn’t published the pricing — that’s a surprise reserved for the January 4 event.

You can find Realme GT 2 Pro, Realme’s first real flagship, on Chinese platforms like JD, TMall, and Suning. The GT2 Pro comes in two editions: Master Edition and Camera Edition. Realme has already released many promos featuring the Realme GT 2 Pro. And it’s the same one that went on pre-sale.

The Realme GT 2 Pro comes in 8GB+256GB and 12GB+256GB storage options. And (apparently) a single cream color with a unique paper texture finish. Realme’s branding is stamped right next to the camera module. Three lenses occupy this housing. We’re looking at a cluster of 50MP wide, 50MP ultra-wide, and 2MP macro cameras.

Turn the phone over to meet its stunning display. It’s surrounded by a narrow, perfectly even bezel all around. The 32 MP front camera is embedded inside a hole-punch cutout (the Camera Edition reportedly has an under-display camera.) It’s a new QHD+ LTPO AMOLED screen from Samsung. The 6.7” panel peaks at an ultra-responsive 120Hz refresh rate.

Expected to join the Realme price catalog in January, the GT2 Pro packs the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 — the latest and most powerful chip from the company. It’s paired with blazing fast UFS 3.1 storage and LPDDR5 memory. The 5000 mAh battery recharges at 65W over the wire. Realme UI 3 x Android 12 powers the GT 2 Pro.
