If you're in the market for an entry-level Realme phone, you can save big on the still-recent Realme C12. Realme is knocking 10% off the price, making the value model even more affordable. Here’s what you need to know.

Realme C11's elder sibling the C12 comes in two flavors: a 3GB + 32GB version and a 4GB + 64GB edition. The former was originally retailing for Rs. 21,999 and after a discount of Rs. 2,000, the phone is now available for Rs. 19,999.

To recount, the Realme C12 features a high-capacity 6,000 mAh battery, promising a two-day battery life on medium-to-light usage. It also supports Realme’s ‘Super Power Saving Mode,’ which can stretch the last 5% of your battery into at least two days of standby or 107 minutes of WhatsApp. You can charge your other devices thanks to its ‘Reverse Charging’ feature.

Unlike the Punch-hole on the recently launched Realme C17, On the front of C12, we find a standard 6.5” HD+ display with a notched carved into it, thin bezels, and a heavy chin — filling up a 20:9 aspect ratio and an 88.7% screen-to-body ratio. The back has the new ‘Geometric Gradient’ design that Realme has adopted, available in Coral Red and Marine Blue shades. Instead of a capsule-shaped camera housing, the new design language introduces a boxy camera plate.

In a similar vein as its battery, the Realme C12 is marketed as a budget ‘gaming phone’, powered by MediaTek’s Helio G35 processor. Expect best-in-tier performance out of this eight-core chipset, augmented with MediaTek’s HyperEngine technology. The C12 boots to the Android10-based realmeUI.

There’s a 13MP camera on the back, accompanied by two space-filler sensors: a macro shooter and a B&W lens. The selfie camera is a modest 5MP. For shots in low light, there’s the Super Nightscape mode. A capacitive fingerprint scanner rests next to the camera.
