Realme 16 Pro Passes TENAA Certification with 7000mAh Battery and 200MP Camera

The six-month cycle for the Realme 15 Pro hasn’t even finished, yet we are already bombarded with new leaks about its successor. The Realme 16 Pro is coming soon. For those doubting its existence, the device just got certified by TENAA in China. The listing had some clues about its hardware. This is what we learned about the Realme 16 Pro.

This newcomer has a model number RMX5121. That was already established in a leak last week. There are some new details in this TENAA listing, which are obviously way more credible than any other report. The specs we are about to give you are all but official.

There’s apparently a 6.78” screen on the Realme 16 Pro. It is AMOLED, and the resolution is 1.5K or (2772 × 1272) pixels to be more specific. Of course, this is one of their higher-end midrange phones, so we expect there won’t be any compromises on the camera quality.

The listing has already confirmed that its main camera is 200MP. They are betting on this sensor to make the Realme's flagship new model compete on the same level as the Honor 500 and Oppo Reno 15 series. It will be a tough sell, though, because this device only has an 8MP ultrawide (according to the listing).

At least they went with a 50MP selfie sensor and a 7000mAh battery on the Realme 16 Pro to maintain some appeal. The rated or true capacity on TENAA is 6830mAh. Realme 15 Pro had the same power pack, by the way. It could’ve been a nice upgrade, but a 7000mAh cell isn’t something to complain about.

The thickness has gone up by 0.05mm. The older handset was 7.7mm, but the Realme 16 Pro might bump it up to 7.75mm. The weight is also higher than before (192g vs. 187g). We may also see 16GB RAM on this handset. The most decked-out variant may feature 1TB of storage.

Realme 16 Pro is supposed to appear after the new year, sometime around the 15 Pro’s 6-month expiry. Of course, we'll see the latest stable Realme UI 7 and Android 16 on this device at first boot. We’ll continue to monitor the internet for any new developments on the Realme 16 series. Keep watching the news for updates.
