Realme 16 Pro Plus Appears on TENAA, Revealing Key Specs Ahead of Launch

Realme 16 Pro+ just made an entry on TENAA, which means the Chinese launch isn’t too far. Of course, this has exposed most of the phone’s specs. We are convinced that the Realme 16 Pro+ is a semi-flagship device that uses a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 to run the system. This is everything we found on TENAA.

The screen is a massive one. It’s a 6.8” AMOLED panel with 1.5K or 1280x2800 resolution. There was no Pro+ variant last time, but the Realme 15 Pro had the same screen size/resolution, and it used a faster 144Hz refresh rate as well. TENAA didn’t have any info on the 16 Pro Plus’ refresh rate.

This newcomer is thick and weighty. It houses a 7,000mAh cell, which is possibly the reason it is 203 grams and 8.49mm thick. We aren’t pulling these numbers out of the air. This is what TENAA says on the listing. Though it does bring to question why the same 7000mAh battery was given to Realme 15 Pro, and it was just 7.7mm thin.

TENAA only showed the rated 6850mAh capacity for the Realme 5G latest model, by the way. They might advertise it as a 7000mAh typical battery. Anyway, beyond the endurance, we also saw an 8-core 2.8GHz SoC on their database, which internet suspects could be the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4.

Realme 15 Pro had the same chip, so this is a reasonable suspicion. The versatility is pretty wild when it comes to the Realme 16 Pro+, since this newcomer is built around 8GB/12GB/16GB/24GB RAM options. And they are paired with 128GB/256GB/512GB/1TB of storage.

The exact pairings weren’t given here, but there are obviously more than four options this time. The world’s memory shortage clearly hasn’t hit the mobile industry yet, since we are seeing up to 24GB of RAM on devices like the Realme 16 Pro+.

Some other details we saw here also included optics: 200MP (Main) + 8MP (Ultrawide) + 50MP (Telephoto). The selfie shooter also seems to be a 50MP outsole. There’s supposed to be an IR blaster on this handset, plus a screen-laced fingerprint ID. January 6th is the proposed launch date for this Realme 16 Pro lineup. Keep watching the news for updates.
