The Pro+ variant was absent from the last Realme series. But the Realme 16 Pro Plus will make up for it with at least two generations’ worth of camera upgrades. Realme 16 Pro is positioned right next to it with a matching Main camera. They are both officially teased with optical specs and the launch date.

These aren’t the true Realme flagship phones. Those would be the devices in the company’s GT lineup. But these two newcomers are the second closest. Realme has confirmed that both Pro phones will debut on January 6th. Their teaser campaign has already begun, and these camera specs are a part of it.
Realme 16 Pro+ has the leading camera setup, of course. There’s not only a 200MP Main camera on this device, but also a 50MP telephoto shooter. Both sensors are from Samsung, by the way. We know each of their specifications by heart.

Realme says the Main camera is a 200MP Samsung HP5 ISOCELL. That’s a 1/1.56” type sensor with an f/1.8 aperture. The lens opening is a bit smaller, but it’s a flagship outsole; otherwise. There’s a second camera on the Pro Plus: a 50MP Samsung JN5 Telephoto. By the way, you can always check the Realme phones price to stay updated.
That second can do 3.5X telephoto zoom shots. And you can zoom all the way to 120x digitally. The third camera is probably a smaller ultrawide sensor with 0.6x zoom. The basic Realme 16 Pro has the same 200MP camera as the Plus version, but there’s no telephoto zoom on it.

Realme 16 Pro does have lossless 2X zoom that works in a pinch. The resolution isn’t really lost when you punch into its 200MP Main camera. You can pull out decent 50MP stills. There are also official product pages for both phones. Most of the details are kept hidden, though.
The standard Pro will run on a MediaTek Dimensity chip, and the 16 Pro+ will carry something more powerful than the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4. They are both Android 16-based. Realme has planned at least three OS updates and four security updates for each device. More teasers are dropping every day. We’ll know the rest of their specs soon enough. Keep watching the news for updates.
