Vivo X90 Series Debut Timeline Reported by Leaks; Here's Everything you need to know

In the wake of Vivo's X80 series launch (early 2022), enthusiasts eagerly anticipate the brand's next flagship X90 roundup. The latest report bears some good news on that front. While awaiting the official word, the rumor mill revealed the brand's launch timeline, event plan, and key specifications.

According to the Chinese tipster Assen, the manufacturer plans to skip the awaited Vivo S16 lineup this year. The phone's precursors, like S12 and S15, traditionally break cover around December. With S16 jumped over, the Vivo X90 series event is next on the company's debut itinerary and is likely to happen by the end of December 2022.

The leaker points out that, at the end of a year, brands like Vivo and Oppo usually take a month-long interval to clear out the inventory before announcing any subsequent flagship. The same will happen now. Ahead of the first official appearance, the brand will clean the former stock and announce the X90 series in December.

Moreover, the hardware on X90 phones will beat X80's by a leap. Rumor has it that the new X Vivo mobile phones will have bigger batteries, the latest generation SoCs, Improved charging speeds, and cameras.

Reportedly, X90 Pro Plus will likely feature an AMOLED curved display, Qualcomm's unannounced Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, LPDDR5X RAM paired with next-gen UFS 4.0 storage, and a 5000mAh battery. Since every smartphone manufacturer nowadays wants a 1.0-inch camera sensor on their flagship devices. The same could happen with X90 phones.

Besides a bigger primary sensor, the phone might feature an industry-first 64MP telephoto 5X optical zoom camera. Since the brand hasn't officially verified any specs, it's worth pointing out that these details are mere speculations. But it shouldn't take Vivo long to break the silence.
