Tecno Phantom X Coming Soon to Pakistan with a Stunning Camera & Screen; Meet Tecno's First Premium Phone

Following a drawn-out promotional campaign, Tecno finally unveiled their first-ever flagship smartphone, the Tecno Phantom X. The premium Phantom made its debut in Africa, and it should be headed to Pakistan soon along with the Tecno Pova 2, as reported by WhatMobile sources. We have the complete specification sheet and pricing.

Glass sandwich designs are becoming rarer in the market, but the Tecno Phantom X features a gorgeous glass shell protected with Gorilla Glass 5. It’s chamfered along the edges, and a subtle pattern runs across the back. You can pick from the muted but elegant Starry Night Blue or the more expressive, iridescent Monet’s Summer color options.

The versatile camera cluster on the Phantom X is the highlight of this phone. The main 50MP lens has a wide f/1.85 aperture with a big 1/1.3” sensor sitting behind it. An 8MP ultra-wide camera and a 13MP telephoto camera round off the setup. The 50mm lens offers up to 2x optical zooming (software magic extends it up to 20x) and pulls double duty as the portrait camera.

Tecno’s laser focus system can focus on faraway subjects, even in low-light. It’s used to bring out details in Super Night View, Night Vision, and Super Night Portrait modes in the New Tecno mobile phone. The Phantom X has an equally capable dual front camera that takes single portraits with a 48MP lens and group selfies with an 8MP ultrawide camera. Plus, the top bezel houses a front-facing flash.

The selfie array lives inside a wide pill-shaped cutout in the display. We’re looking at a 6.7” SuperAMOLED panel with a waterfall design, 1080P resolution, and a smooth 90Hz refresh rate. An optical fingerprint reader is hidden underneath the screen.

Tecno Phantom X falls short of the flagship promise when it comes to the chip. The 4G MediaTek Helio G95 is at its heart, powered by a 4700 mAh battery. It can fast-charge over 33W, delivering a 70% top-up in just 30 minutes. No wireless charging or NFC support is offered. But a cooling system is in place to manage heat. Tecno Phantom X comes in a single 8GB+256GB configuration, starting from KES 49,999 (~ Rs. 73,000.)
