Tecno Phantom X2 Rolls Out in Asia with Flagship Specs and Mid-Range Price

An event wrapped up in Dubai introduced us to Tecno’s marvelous flagship creation, the Phantom X2 series. X2 and X2 Pro are the first-ever true-flagship devices by Tecno. Vanilla Phantom X2 is the first to open pre-orders in Asian markets.

At the outset of its journey in Asian regions, Phantom X2 has just become official in India; proof that the model will shortly start deployment in other major markets of the continent. At a somewhat affordable range, X2 Tecno boasts 8GB RAM, 256GB storage, and two frosted-matte finishes; Stardust Gray and Moonlight Silver.

Its front side has a curved AMOLED screen spanning 6.8-inch across with 120Hz refresh rates, 360Hz touch sampling rates, 10-bit colors, and Corning Gorilla Glass protection. A small punch-hole cutout on its forehead houses a 32MP selfie shooter.

In the province of photography, Tecno endows X2 with a 64MP Samsung GWB primary camera (OIS), a 13MP ultrawide sensor with support for macro vision, and a 2MP depth sensor. The island housing these units is oddly designed and massive, but it looks unique in fashion.

Boasting true-flagship internals, Phantom X2 fires MediaTek’s most powerful SoC, Dimensity 9000, at the core, paired with a vapor chamber cooling solution, LPDDR5x RAM, and UFS 3.1 storage. The model retails in a solo configuration, 8+256GB.

Under the shell, the new Phantom X model packs a dense 5,160mAh cell and uses a 45W plug to recharge. Unfortunately, it doesn’t offer the latest Android 13 by default (It boots up to an Android 12 x HiOS 12). As with any flagship device, it discards the audio port and features an under-display fingerprint reader. The model’s starting cost is roughly 485 USD (~109,000 PKR), placing it way above the Tecno Camon 19 Pro's current price in Pakistan
