Samsung unpacked event has come and gone, leaving us with two beautiful smartphones. The Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Z Flip 4 are the most exciting launch of this year. The handsets are now listed on Samsung's official Pakistani website, pointing to their imminent launch in Pakistan. There will be a short pre-order campaign before the phones get available on store shelves.

Aside from a few internal upgrades, there are no significant changes in the duo's design. One can easily take the Z Fold 4 and Z Flip 4 as refined versions of their precursors. Let's dive in to see what kind of upgrades we are looking at for these phones.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4

Let's start with the dual display setup of the Fold 4. We have a 6.2-inch dynamic AMOLED cover display with HD+ resolution at 2316 x 904 pixels, best suited for its tall aspect ratio. Corning Gorilla Glass Victus Plus protects it.

Unfolding the phone, we have a 7.6-inch QXGA+ dynamic AMOLED display with (2176 x 1812p) resolution. Both panels support a seamless 120Hz refresh rate and 1000 nits of peak brightness.

The design on Z Fold 4 is slightly changed compared to its elder variant. Samsung's Latest Fold model is slightly wider and shorter length-wise. It's barely noticeable without looking at them side by side. The design seems evenly polished with its shaved-off bezels. The single hinge mechanism has streamlined the design and lessened the inner display's crease.

We are looking at a drastically improved camera here. On the back, we now have a 50MP primary shooter paired with a 12MP ultra-wide lens and a 10MP 3x optical zooming telephoto lens. The cover display has a 10MP camera, and a 4MP sensor hides under the internal display panel.

We will see 256GB and 512GB storage variants in Pakistan. Both variants will have the same 12GB LPDDR5 RAM. The Z Fold 4 has a Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 SoC at heart, a processor based on 4nm fabrication technology, making it super power efficient. The phone has Google's latest Android-2L version skinned with One UI 4.1.1. The foldable king rocks a 4,400mAh cell with 25W power delivery.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4

Galaxy Z Flip 4 has the same design as its predecessor, but the hardware is much improved — a flagship level 6.7-inch FHD+ foldable display based on 2X dynamic AMOLED technology. The screen supports an adaptive 120Hz refresh rate. It has 1200nits of eye-popping brightness and an HDR10+ feature for extra shine while watching videos. There's also a super AMOLED 1.9-inch cover display on the back.

The Z Flip 4 has the same Snapdragon 8 plus Gen 1 processor as the Z Fold 4. With this processor, Samsung hopes to solve the long persistent issue of battery life and overheating of its clamshell lineup.

We are looking at a dual-camera setup on the back. Both sensors are 12MP in size, but one has a 123-degree ultra-wide lens. You can take selfies with the rear camera using the cover screen. There's another 10MP camera housed in the punch hole of the inner folding display for selfies.

Galaxy Z Fip 4 powers up using a 3,700 mAh battery that supports 25W power delivery. The clamshell runs on Android 12 x One UI 4.1.1. It offers 8GB memory paired with 128GB or 256GB of storage. The phone will feature many color options like Bora Purple, Graphite, Pink Gold, Blue, Yellow, White, Navy, Khaki, Red, etc.

The base price for Galaxy Z Flip 4 starts at $999 USD which converts to ~PKR 220,000/- while the  Galaxy Z Fold 4's base variant with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage costs around $1,799 or about PKR 396,000/-.
