OPPO Reno8 4G Goes Official with Snapdragon 680 SoC and 90Hz AMOLED Display

OPPO Reno8 4G descends from a long lineup of Oppo's upper mid-range Reno flagships. With a few tweaks, the brand is providing the same Reno experience at a fraction of the price. All members from the Reno8 family have a 5G emblem with their titles, which means 5G processors inside. The latest Reno8 is just a 4G iteration of the same legacy.

Reno8 4G just got official in Indonesia with a Snapdragon 680 (6nm) 4G processor, thus the 4G tag. Internals-wise, Reno8 4G's tailgating Reno7 from a few months back. You can say it's a re-release of Reno7 with a moniker change. Though OPPO Reno 6 was last to reach Pakistan skipping the Reno 7, we do hope the new series to make it to the local market this time.

The device has a flat 6.43-inch size on an AMOLED panel. Visuals are the sharpest with a dense pixel packed (409 PPI) Full HD+ resolution screen. A smooth refresh rate of 90Hz and brightness of 800 nits for a whole user-friendly experience.

Reno8 4G inherits the design language from seven-series Reno. A boxy cutout for the camera plate popped out to sit camera-trio. A rear textured with a matte finish to avoid smudges from the fingers. The OPPO Reno new model wraps up in flat edges. You'll see a fingerprint power key mounted on the right edge.

An 8GB of memory and 256GB of storage is the only variant available for Reno8 4G. The phone uses UFS 2.2 data speed, translating to smooth multitasking. Talking about its optics, we are looking at a 32-megapixel selfie camera in the display punch hole. The rear camera is triple slotted with a 64-megapixel lens designated as primary. The other two slots use a set of 2-megapixel macro and depth sensors.

Protection features include IPX4 resistance against water, a Panda glass shield on the screen, and a fingerprint scanner protruding from the side. Phone hooks all these internals to a 4500mAh cell supporting 33W top-up speed. Reno8 4G natively runs on Android 12 x ColorOS 12 UI. The price starts from ~PKR 85,500/-
