We recently spectated the release of the Reno8 lineup. The OPPO Reno8 Pro, Reno 8, 8 Pro Plus, and 8Z all had one thing in common. A 5G emblem with their labels. Oppo is now trying to alter the story by throwing a 4G variant into the mix. Enter Oppo Reno8 4G.

Per the latest reports from leaker Passionategeekz, OPPO Reno8 4G is undoubtedly in manufacturing and will launch soon. Same sources have provided us with leaked renders and an outline for the device specifications.

In practice, the processor change is the only thing we need to switch the phone from 5G to 4G. The same thing has happened here. Reno8 4G threw out MediaTek's Dimensity 1300 5G chip and brought in the Snapdragon 680 4G SoC. The storage on this variant will be 256GB paired with 12GB of memory.

Let's discuss the optics on this phone. We are looking at a 32-megapixel selfie camera in the display punch hole. The rear camera is triple slotted with a 64-megapixel lens designated as primary. The other two slots use a set of 2-megapixel macro and depth sensors.

All the rear sensors live inside an extruding camera plate. The back panel of the upcoming addition to the OPPO price list has a frosted-matte finish. Flipping the phone around, we see a 6.43-inch AMOLED screen with a Full HD+ resolution display. It has a 90Hz refresh rate and Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The punch hole is positioned top-left on the panel.

Reno8 4G will roll out with built-in Android 12 x ColorOS 12 UI. The phone boots up using a 4,500 mAh cell with 33W charging support. Its lock-screen button doubles as a fingerprint scanner. Oppo is releasing this phone in two body-paints Dawnlight Gold and Starlight Black.
