Oppo Reno 16 Series First Global Teaser Appears, BABYMONSTER Signed on for Promotion

The Oppo Reno 16 series launched in China already, so the next obvious goal is to make the devices global. They’ve chosen a Korean K-pop girl crew called BABYMONSTER to start promoting the devices for the international launch. The first teaser clip appeared on X.

The video can be seen here. They didn’t exactly share the launch date for the global debut, but the Oppo Reno 16 series is definitely around the bend. We’ll be seeing it soon, hopefully with all of its official specs on site. These phones only look the same as the Chinese versions. But they might have different specs.

There’s also a banner in the set of early teasers. The image had a few facts about these Reno 16 phones. AI Remix Collage is one of the big features, which we assume has something to do with the photo gallery. No details have been provided, at least for now.

There’s also a 50MP Ultrawide selfie camera on the phone. It may be the same as the Chinese Reno 16’s 100-degree FoV selfie snapper. One more detail on the banner was its OS. The lineup seems to run the new ColorOS 16, which is actually Android 16 at the core. Stay updated with the newest Oppo rate list in Pakistan for 2026.

There was a certification in the EU for both Reno 16 and Reno 16 Pro. The EPREL database had exposed the phone’s battery capacities and some other specs. They both seem to have the same 6000mAh cell, yet the Reno 16F, which is supposed to be in the lower rank, has 6500mAh.

Reno 16 Pro and vanilla 16 are both rated for 1200 charge cycles until the battery drops to 80%. Again, strangely enough, the Reno 16 F has up to 1800 cycles. Apparently, all three phones are supposed to be IP68 dustproof and completely waterproof.

Oppo is supposed to extend the update support to five years. Three OS updates are expected for each phone. Retailer listings appeared in Italy, Europe, and the prices could be exorbitant in that region: €890 (~PKR 283,000) for the Reno 16 and €1,087 (~PKR 346,000) for the Oppo Reno 16 Pro. These prices may not reflect the MSRP intended for the global market.
