Oppo Reno 16F and Reno 16 have entered Pakistan. They’ve opened pre-orders for both phones, and official retail is supposed to begin on September 5th. You can book them early for an extended warranty and screen damage coverage with three months of free Google AI Pro subscription.
Oppo Reno 16
This is a premium midranger by specs. We know that this handset is based on a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chip, which is wired to 12GB RAM on the variant coming to Pakistan. There’s 256GB storage as well. That’s the only option you can buy in the local market for now.
It’s not the European version, which means a bigger battery. Reno 16 is built around a 6700mAh cell. This newcomer will recharge over an 80W SuperVOOC input. But it supports all kinds of standards, from PD to PPS at lower charging rates.
Consider the Reno 16 a compact handset. There’s a small 6.32” AMOLED up front, and it’s only a 120Hz refresh rate. The resolution is capped at 1.5K, and the brightness is 3600nits (peak). This device also has an HDR10+ rating, so the screen will trigger HDR on supported content.
Each and every lens you’ll find on the Oppo Reno 16 is a 50MP outsole. This newcomer puts three sensors on the back. There’s 50MP main (OIS) + 50MP Ultrawide + 50MP 3.5X Telephoto (OIS). Even the selfie camera is a 50MP shooter under the screen’s punch-hole cutout.
Dual stereo speakers are installed on the vanilla Reno 16. And you have an optical fingerprint ID with a WiFi 6 module inside. The default OS is Android 16 (Color OS 16). The phone’s chassis is metal with an IP69K rating. Rs 199,999 is the official price tag for Oppo Reno 16 (12/256GB).
Oppo Reno 16F
The phone comes with 8GB RAM only, though it keeps the 256GB storage. This is the cheapest version in the clan, by the way, so there are caveats. The screen’s resolution is only 1080p FHD+, but you do get a bigger 6.57” AMOLED here at 120Hz rate and 1400nits HBM brightness.
The phone still has an IP69K rating, but the Reno 16F has a plastic chassis, not metal. Oppo Reno 16F is actually bigger, so they’ve fit a larger 7000mAh cell inside and outfitted it with an 80W SuperVOOC charging kit. Of course, the chip is weaker too on the Reno 16F.
There’s a Dimensity 7300 Energy chip on the Reno 16F, which is a 4nm platform, and its clock speed is 2.5GHz. Pair that with the phone’s UFS 3.1 storage, and you get a snappy Color OS 16 UI and Android 16. Reno 16F has some tradeoffs in the camera department too.
The rest of its camera setup is built on 50MP sensors, but the Ultrawide lens is demoted to 8MP on the Reno 16F. They’ve put a 50MP main + 50MP 3.5X telephoto on the back and a 50MP selfie camera on the front. And each sensor does 4K recording.
They’ve put the fingerprint ID right on the screen. There’s probably a single speaker on the Reno 16F. It doesn’t have an audio jack. This newcomer is WiFi 6 certified as well. The phone’s on pre-orders right now. 8/256GB Oppo Reno 16F will cost Rs 149,999 in Pakistan.
