Oppo Reno 16 Pro Max Leaked Specs Hint at LTPO Display and Flagship Chipset

Oppo cycles through Reno devices every six months. Their current Reno 15 lineup was actually introduced in November 2025. We are right around the launch window for the new Reno 16 series. There has been a massive leak on the Oppo Reno 16 Pro Max. The tipster exposed most of the phone’s specifications.

Digital Chat Station called the Reno 16 Pro Max a “super-sized” phone on his Weibo post. That’s not odd, because the newcomer has a huge 6.78” OLED. The size is definitely above average. DCS even claimed a 1.5K resolution and an LTPO refresh rate for it.

There was no variable refresh rate on the older Reno 15 Pro Max. So what’s going on with this change? They are apparently treating the Reno 16 Pro Max as a pure flagship, not a sub-premium model. LTPO is a flagship feature after all. So this is more than just a theory.

DCS drove home the point with what he said next. He actually commented on the use of a flagship Dimensity N1 processor on the Reno 16 Pro Max. By the way, when you look at the name N1, you’ll immediately think of MediaTek and NVIDIA’s joint venture chip for PCs and AI. But that doesn’t sound realistic for the Reno 16 Pro Max. Based on March 2026, here is an accurate and updated Oppo price list for Oppo smartphones, featuring all the latest models.

Another report said Reno 16 Pro Max could use a Dimensity 9400 SoC, which is much more plausible. That’s a flagship processor from last year and a big jump from Reno 15 Pro Max’s Dimensity 8450. This newcomer’s camera will be the best in the family.

The leaker said a 200MP camera might reappear on the Reno 16 Pro Max. That sensor will be under the main lens, by the way. The older version had the same setup: a 50MP periscope telephoto and a 50MP Ultrawide. The screen has its own 50MP selfie shooter in a punch hole.

This is just a rumor, but the Reno 16 Pro could also use the same camera hardware. Yet the chipset handling everything will be a Dimensity 8500. These predictions are made for the Chinese versions. The global devices are not usually positioned this way. They’ll probably have different specs. Let’s wait for more leaks for confirmation.
