One of the Reno 15 series devices made a cameo on Geekbench today, and the details might surprise you. The lineup has three devices, apparently. We have the usual Reno 15 and Reno 15 Pro, but there’s another suspected variant with “Mini” attached to the moniker. Geekbench didn’t reveal the name of the device it tested, but it could be one of these three models.
Well, Geekbench had the typical set of details: Chipset, GPU, RAM, Android version, etc. The first clue that it’s really a member of the Reno 15 lineup is the model number. Oppo PLV110 is mentioned right on top of the score sheet, and that code replaces one of the older Reno 14 devices.
The listing says a 3.25 GHz octa-core chip is running the test device. There are three clusters here with very unique frequency distributions and architecture. It’s obviously the Dimensity 8450 SoC. That’s a premium chip and a runner-up to MediaTek’s flagship D9000 line.
The single-core test run yields 1668 points, and performance on all eight cores pushes the score to 6274. It wasn’t long ago when we were seeing similar results on Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and Gen 3 silicon. By the way, the chipset isn’t an upgrade. The current Reno 14 Pro has the same D8450 engine.
Another detail we saw on Geekbench is the RAM size. There’s 16GB of it, which is more than enough for an average user’s multitasking requirements. The source code for this listing gave up a Mali-G720 GPU. And the last bit of detail we found is the Android version on these Oppo new Reno models, Android 16.
The specs we saw on Geekbench hint at the device being the Oppo Reno 15 Pro. But we have also heard rumors that the Reno 15 Pro and 15 Mini share the same chip, which is why Oppo PLV110 can’t be definitively proven to be the former or the latter.
Another recent exposé foreshadowed a 200MP main camera on the Reno 15 Pro. That will be based on Samsung’s HP5 ISOCELL sensor. There’s also 80W wired and 50W wireless charging on the way, and the phone sticks to your typical IP69 waterproof rating. More and more details are cropping up every day. Stick around if you don’t want to miss anything.
