Oppo Reno 15c Debuts with Snapdragon 7 Gen 4, IP69 Rating & 6500mAh Battery

Oppo Reno 15c was promised to launch in December. Well, it’s now official in China. This category is new to the family, but the “c” might just mean slightly less powerful than the vanilla and Pro siblings. Don’t worry, it’s still pretty much a midranger with a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chip.

Its size is smaller than the Reno 15 Pro, but bigger than the vanilla Reno 15. We see a 6.59” AMOLED on the device’s front. Reno 15c has a 1.5K resolution, of course. It seems the refresh rate and brightness peak at 120Hz and 1200 nits. There’s a simple optical fingerprint ID on the front.

Just a small cutout is left on the screen for the 50MP selfie camera. The phone’s back is where the real action happens. Apparently, they gave Reno 15c a 50MP Samsung JN5 sensor with a telephoto lens that optically zooms to about a 3.5X range. Its digital zoom is close to 120x.

The rear main camera is also 50MP OIS (Sony LYT-600). Then comes the third Ultrawide shooter, but it’s not as amazing as the rest: just an 8MP IMX355 sensor. They’ve clearly put a lot of energy into Oppo's latest Reno mobile’s camera. It even has underwater photography and an IP69 rating.

Oppo also gave it a 6500mAh battery on top of an already efficient chip and display. Endurance shouldn’t be an issue with the Reno 15c. But if you do manage to drain this phone’s battery before the end of the day, 80W charging will bring it back to 100% in less than an hour.

Reno 15c had to cut corners somewhere, so they slashed the wireless charging from its setup. Beyond that, the phone still has the latest Android 16 build running by default. There’s also WiFi 6 here. IR blaster turns this newcomer into a makeshift remote.

The sound comes from dual stereo speakers. Of course, they had to cut the 3.5mm audio jack to make it IP69 waterproof. Everything on this device screams upper-midrange, and its price tag reflects that. Reno 15c costs $410 (~PKR 115,000) for the starter 12/256GB trim in China.
