The new Reno 15 series also has an Oppo Reno 15c variant. Oppo intends to launch this phone in December, but there’s no official launch date as of yet. In fact, not even a single teaser has surfaced after last month’s launch event. We did, however, see a China Telecom listing for this device, which was helpful.
That listing has spilled most of the phone’s specs. It also shared color options with possible storage assortments. Reno 15c is definitely a much cheaper option than its siblings, if we are reading the hardware details correctly here.
From what we’ve gathered from the listing, Reno 15c runs on Android 16 with ColorOS 16 UI, and inside, a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 SoC pulls the load. There’s more than enough RAM to go around. Both trims have at least 12GB RAM and either 256GB or 512GB storage.
The screen is smaller than the vanilla Reno 15, and bigger than the Reno 15 Pro. This “c” variant is obviously intended to be a sweet spot. The Oppo's latest Reno mobile has a 6.59” AMOLED, and the resolution is 1.5K. The rumor mill had claimed it before, and now, the China Telecom listing has verified it.
There’s also a 120Hz refresh rate on Oppo Reno 15c. Some camera specs were also given in the China Telecom listing. It seems the front shooter is 50MP. We also have a 50MP Main camera on the back. Then comes a 50MP telephoto and an 8MP ultrawide shooter. Reno 14 had the same camera last year, and now it is being offered on a lower-end option.
Oppo Reno 15c may have three color options. All three are given on the Telecom listing: Aurora Blue, Academy Blue, and Starlight Bow. Some details are obviously missing here, charging stats among them. Digital Chat Station had already filled the gaps in one of his earlier leaks.
80W fast charging is expected on the Reno 15c. There’s no mention of the battery size, but DCS did say there’s no ultrasonic fingerprint reader here. This newcomer has the cheaper optical sensor. Since Oppo intends to launch Reno 15c in December, its teasers and launch date will be revealed shortly. Keep watching the news for updates.
