The Reno 15 series has made its global debut. The Chinese market had three, but there are four devices in the international lineup. The Oppo Reno 15 Pro Max moniker is actually new to the series this time. Then comes the Reno 15 Pro, which is the smallest version among its siblings. This is the exclusive coverage for the Reno 15 Pro duo.

Oppo Reno 15 Pro Max

Reno 15 Pro Max (global) has a larger footprint. Oppo gave this device a 1.5K 6.78” flat AMOLED that will hit 3600nits local peak brightness, per their advertisement. But the value is cut by half at 1800 nits in HBM mode. This model has a 120Hz refresh rate and Gorilla Glass Victus 2.

There is a bigger display on the Reno 15 Pro Max. That’s why the battery also has more capacity. They went with a 6500mAh cell for this device. And the battery plugs into an 80W wired or a 50W wireless fast charging input. The latter is missing in all other siblings, by the way.

Global Reno 15 Pro and Pro Max are reusing the old chipset. Both the Pro and Pro Max handsets stick to the same Dimensity 8450 SoC. The Main camera on the Reno 15 Pro Max has a 200MP sensor with OIS. It’s present right next to a 50MP telephoto 3.5X (OIS) and a 50MP ultrawide AF unit.

The selfie camera is also a 50MP sensor, but it doesn’t have any OIS. All sensors seem to record 4K 60FPS videos. It’s an IP69-rated build with Android 16 baked in. This duo has WiFi 6 and dual speakers with Infrared ports. The fingerprint on each phone is optical. Reno 15 Pro Max is quite pricey at Taiwanese $24,990 (~PKR 223,000) for the starter 12/256GB version.

Oppo Reno 15 Pro

This one holds back on a few premium features, like wireless charging. But these two phones are more or less the same. You can pick the Reno 15 Pro if you like compact phones. The newcomer is built around a flat 6.32” AMOLED that’s also 1.5K resolution and 120Hz.

There’s obviously a smaller battery on this compact phone. 6200mAh with just an 80W wired charging. And yes, this phone runs the same semi-flagship Dimensity 8450 SoC with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. They also kept the same camera on both phones.

The screen’s punch hole is home to a 50MP selfie camera. Roll over the phone, and you see a 200MP Main unit right next to a 50MP 3.5X telephoto, with a 50MP ultrawide camera as the tertiary lens. The IP69 rating makes both phones waterproof. There’s a weaker Gorilla Glass 7i on this Pro handset, though.

Every phone in this series has Android 16 with ColorOS 16, and so does the Reno 15 Pro. The essentials are covered by Bluetooth 5.4 and WiFi 6. There’s an infrared port here and two speakers, on top and bottom. The Reno 15 Pro also bears 12GB RAM with 256GB storage, but its price is lower at Taiwanese $20,990 (~PKR 187,000).
