Oppo is secretly working on two sets of devices right now. We have the Oppo Find X9 series, which is probably headed for a launch in October. The Oppo Reno 15 lineup will likely be released after that in November. One of those devices, the Reno 15 Pro, has already surfaced in a massive leak, and here's what we found.
Digital Chat Station tipped the Reno 15 Pro’s camera system in quite a detail. From what the leaker revealed in his latest Weibo post, this handset is going to be the first Reno model with a 200 MP Main camera. And apparently, it’s based on Samsung’s ISOCELL HP5 technology.
Those 200MP ISOCELL cameras have been in circulation for a while, but there aren’t too many brands eager to adopt this tech in the midrange segment. The Redmi Note 15 Pro is one of the few models that fit this criterion. The Reno 15 Pro is a higher-grade phone by comparison, so it will be interesting to see how it implements this 200MP HP5 camera tech.
The leaker goes on to reveal latest Oppo Reno mobile's secondary camera, which seems to be a periscope multifold telephoto 50MP sensor. A similar zoom camera is also found on the Reno 14 Pro, so we aren’t surprised. Even if it wasn’t exposed by the leaker, it’s possible that a third camera exists on this phone with an ultrawide lens on top.
Oppo will be maintaining its contract with MediaTek as it continues to push Dimensity 8 series chips on its Reno models. The leaker didn’t point at the exact chip to be used on the Reno 15 Pro, though a Dimensity 8500 is the safest bet. This will be a sequential upgrade from Reno 14 Pro’s D8450 SoC.
The phone’s construction might be the same as the older version, though we suspect some design changes along the way. DCS says that the rear plate will be a single-piece glass, which will be carefully sculpted into their chosen design.
There are some more leaks on the internet saying the Reno 15 Pro could use a 6.8” OLED screen and possibly, a Color OS 16 firmware (based on Android 16). But these are preliminary details. As always, we suggest taking this leak with a grain of salt until more sources have verified it. Reno devices such as this almost always make it to Pakistan.
