The global launch for the Reno 15 series kicks off. The three devices that were seen before in China have been reannounced for the international market with different names. And there’s a completely new fourth device that just debuted under the Oppo Reno 15 F 5G moniker. This is the coverage for the basic Reno 15 and Reno 15 F.

Oppo Reno 15

Reno 15 for the global market is a bit different from the Chinese version. There’s a medium 6.59” AMOLED on this device at FHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate, but it’s not an LTPO panel. Gorilla Glass 7i is here to keep that screen from scratches and scuffs.

They chose a 6500mAh cell for the Reno 15, which is bigger than what the Chinese model had. At least they kept the same 80W charging on both versions. Another thing they swapped out is the chipset. This Reno 15 handset is actually built around a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 with LPDDR5X memory and UFS 3.1 storage.

There are three lenses on the back of the Reno 15 here. Reno 15 scores the same 50MP Main shooter on the back, with OIS and all the fancy bells and whistles. Then comes the telephoto 50MP OIS unit on the back that hits 3.5X (or 85mm) zoom. It’s right next to an ultrawide 8MP unit. The selfie camera can do 50MP shots.

By the way, both phones here will bring Android 16 and IP69 ratings. Their screens have built-in optical fingerprint readers. But only the vanilla has WiFi 6 and an infrared remote. The Taiwanese market has set the Reno 15’s starting price at NT$ 17,990 (~PKR 160,000). That’s for the 12/256GB trim.

Oppo Reno 15 F 5G

This is the cheaper version, obviously. It’s only for the global market, not China. You may not be familiar with its specs, but you are in the right place. Oppo has added to the microsite that the phone runs on a Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC with 5G cellular support. But it’s an older version.

The RAM is just LPDDR4X, though the storage goes up ot UFS 3.1. There’s even expandable storage on this device, which other versions don’t have. The screen is AMOLED 6.57”, and its refresh rate is 120Hz. We have Dragontrail-Star D+ glass for safety.

Reno 15 F 5G’s camera is 50MP under the Main lens. It’s OIS stabilized with Autofocus. The other two cameras are 8MP ultrawide and 2MP Macro. This may be the cheapest of all Reno models, but its selfie shooter is still 50MP. And we are also starstruck by its 7000mAh battery, which none of the other siblings have.

Reno 15 F also grabs that same 80W fast charging kit as the vanilla model for quick refills. The AMOLED screen includes an optical fingerprint ID, and the phone is tightly sealed with an IP69 rating. There’s only Bluetooth 5.1 and WiFi 5 here with no Infrared port. Oppo didn’t say anything about the Reno 15 F’s price.
