Some new Oppo phones hit the Chinese market today. It’s the company’s Reno 15 series, which includes three devices. Reno 15 and 15 Pro are now official. Their retail begins in China on November 21. They also teased a Reno 15c that appears to be the cheapest option in the family. We’ve discussed the vanilla and Pro models below. Have a look.

Oppo Reno 15 Pro
Reno 15 Pro is for those who prefer larger phones. Oppo gave this device a 1.5K 6.78” flat AMOLED that will hit 3600nits local peak brightness, per their advertisement. But the value is cut in half at 1800 nits in HBM mode. This model has the LTPO 120Hz refresh rate as well.

Because the Reno 15 Pro has a larger footprint, the battery is also relatively bigger here. They went with a 6500mAh cell for this device. And the battery plugs into an 80W wired or a 50W wireless fast charging input. The latter is missing in the vanilla model.

Now, most of you will be surprised to hear this. Reno 15 Pro didn’t get an SoC upgrade this time. In fact, both the basic and Pro handsets stick to the same Dimensity 8450 SoC. That’s usually how it goes with bi-yearly smartphone cycles. The same thing happened with Vivo V60, which brought back its Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chip.

They did scale up the camera resolution this time. The main shooter now has a 200MP sensor with OIS. It’s present right next to a 50MP telephoto 3.5X (OIS) and a 50MP ultrawide AF unit. The selfie camera is also a 50MP sensor, but it doesn’t have any OIS. All sensors seem to record 4K 60FPS videos.
These are both IP69-rated builds with Android 16 baked in. And yes, they have Color OS 16 running on it. They have WiFi 6, and each phone carries dual speakers and Infrared ports. The fingerprint on their screen is an optical sensor. Reno 15 Pro’s Chinese tag is CNY 3,699 (~PKR 147,000) for the starter 12/256GB trim.
Oppo Reno 15
This time, you don’t lose much with Reno 15 since these siblings are essentially the same. There’s a smaller 6.32” AMOLED on this device at 1.5K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate, but it’s not an LTPO panel. The smaller phone doesn’t need as much battery for equal endurance, so they chose a 6200mAh cell for the Reno 15.

This plugs into the same 80W wired charger. Sadly, they did axe the wireless charging feature on this cheaper model. The rest of the specs are common across the board, even the camera. Reno 15 scores the same 200MP Main shooter on the back, with OIS and all the fancy bells and whistles.

There’s even a telephoto 50MP OIS unit on the back that hits 3.5X (or 85mm) zoom. It’s right next to an ultrawide 50MP unit. The selfie camera can do 50MP shots. This is all running on a 3.25GHz Dimensity 8450 SoC, by the way. It is the same silicon that Reno 14 Pro had last time, so this is an upgrade.
Like we said in the first section, each of these phones will bring Android 16 and IP69 ratings. There’s WiFi 6, dual speakers, and an infrared remote here, same as the Pro. Reno 15 may have a smaller footprint, but it’s nearly identical in specs. This model starts at CNY 2,999 (~PKR 119,000). We expect to see these devices at around the same prices in Pakistan when they arrive locally. Keep watching the news for updates.
