Vivo X500 Pro Max will rank under the X500 Ultra and above the Vivo X500 Pro in the series. At least two of these phones will debut next month. The Pro Max sibling was found on Geekbench today with the usual set of details. The scorecard gave us the performance stats and SoC info.
There was no Pro Max version in the older X300 series, so it was hard to believe a similar device would show up in the X500 lineup. But the Geekbench listing is proof. We see the V2610 model number right at the top, which is actually believed to be the Vivo X500 Pro Max.
The Geekbench version they used for testing is 6.7.1, and it gave the newcomer 2574 points in the unicore test. And multicore figures were even higher at 7756 points in the test run. CPU info section dropped clues about this new SoC, which is apparently an eight-core platform. Two of the cores on the CPU can hit a 4.55 GHz boost clock. Three cores are at 4.35 GHz. There are three more cores on the chip, which only hit a base clock speed of 3.1 GHz.
Again, it’s a MediaTek chip. The numbers look awfully close to the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. From what we can tell, the chipset maker is catching up. Digital Chat Station seems to have dropped a leak on Weibo, which suggests that it could be the new MTK Dimensity 9600 Pro.
And if we go by the same leak, there might be a Mali G2 Ultra NXMC12 iGPU on the D9600 platform. The phone we have on the scorecard has actually wired this chip to 12GB RAM. This is an average memory size on a flagship, by the way. There might be more options.
The system information section on the listing had one more detail that should be taken into account. There’s Android 17 on the Vivo X500 Pro Max, which means they might have already brewed an Origin OS 7 skin. This is everything we could scrape from the Geekbench listing.
