Vivo will skip over the X400 lineup and jump straight to the X500 series. There was no Pro Max version last time. That’s apparently going to change with the Vivo X500 Pro Max. We came across a leak that shared some of its display and camera specs.

All the details we have here come from Smart Pikachu over at Weibo. The leaker reported that the next series could have models with 6.4” and 6.9” display sizes, and that there might be a Vivo X500 Pro Max version among them.
There was another leak earlier. We saw the numbers 6.37” and 6.83” (LTPO OLED) for the X500 series. SmartPikachu’s estimate for the phone sizes might be accurate. Nothing else was said about the screen on the Vivo X500 Pro Max, though the leaker did spill the optical setup. Based on the latest updates, here is the Vivo price catalog in Pakistan, featuring the premium X series and budget-friendly Y series.

The phone labeled Pro Max could use a 50MP main shooter that has its first-ever LOFIC HDR CMOS. We are used to seeing the Lateral Overflow Integration Capacitor on Xiaomi flagships. Somehow, that technology will now make it to the Vivo X500 Pro and Pro Max.

The frame stacking method doesn’t provide true HDR. But the LOFIC sensors can do it by physically capturing more light on the diodes. Vivo already has one of the best HDR implementations for phone cameras. We can only imagine the quality upgrade after they introduce LOFIC.

By the way, that’s not the only sensor. There could be a 200MP pericope telephoto lens next to the main outsole. And the X500 Pro Max will keep the usual multispectral sensor for accurate colors and white balance.
The rumor mill also keeps mentioning a sibling in the X500 series with a 6.59” OLED. The older X300 lineup had no device with that sort of screen size. So this leak needs further investigation. Of course, we are up to the task as usual. Keep watching the news for more updates.
